LIHONG WANG
Chief Executive Officer
Lihong Wang has served as our director since September 2013 and as our chief executive officer since January 2020. Ms. Wang has 11 years of experience in private equity industry. Ms. Wang joined Bain Capital Asia in 2006 and has served as a managing director since January 2011. Ms. Wang served as an executive director in Morgan Stanly Dean Witter Asia Limited from 2005 to 2006. She served as a vice president in J.P. Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Limited from 2001 to 2005. She served as an associate and a manager in Credit Suisse First Boston from 1996 to 2001. Ms. Wang served as a deputy division chief in China Securities Regulatory Commission from 1993 to 1996. She served as a research associate in Stock Exchange Executive Council from 1990 to 1993. Ms. Wang received an MBA degree from Columbia Business School in 1999 and a Bachelor of Science degree from Fudan University in 1990.
WARREN WANG
Chief Financial Officer
Warren Wang has served as our chief financial officer since December 2020. Mr. Wang has extensive experience working in senior finance roles. Before joining the Company, Mr. Wang served as the chief financial officer of Tujia, a short-term lodging rental platform, where he was in charge of the finance, legal, procurement, reporting and compliance, investment and financing and administration matters, and the chief executive officer of Ant Short-term Rental, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tujia. Prior to joining Tujia in 2017, Mr. Wang served as the chief financial officer of iPinYou, a digital media and advertising platform, between 2014 and 2017, and the chief financial officer and vice president of Zhongpin Inc., a meat and food processing and distribution company that was then listed on NASDAQ, between 2008 and 2013. Prior to that, Mr. Wang held a senior finance officer role in a number of companies and was an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Wang received his bachelor's degree in industrial foreign trade from Beijing University of Technology in 1998, and an MBA degree from China Europe International Business School in 2004. Mr. Wang is a non-practicing member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
JULIA HUI TAI
Chief Operating Officer
Julia Hui Tai has served as our chief operating officer since April 2020, She has more than 25 year experiences working in internet, IT and Education industry. Ms. Tai served as Co-CEO of YXT.COM, an internet based enterprise training service provider, from 2017 to 2019. Prior this position, she served as general manager in charge of education business unit and operational excellence at Hewlett-Packard China between 2009 and 2016. Before that, Ms. Tai held various positions responsible for Asia customer experience and operational improvement at Motorola for 14 years. Julia holds a Master and BSc degree from Harbin Engineering University in digital signal processing.
SALLY XUE YUAN
Senior Vice President of Academics
Sally Xue Yuan has served as our senior vice president of academics since October 2007. Ms. Yuan has 16 years of experience in education industry. She is also the secretary-general of the English Education Research Branch of the Beijing Education Institute and leads several research groups in connection with China’s 12th five year national subject research. Ms. Yuan currently participates in a project led by China National Institute of Standardization and China Quality Certification Center to establish the industry standard of subject English education. Prior to joining us, Ms. Yuan worked as a student teacher in several public elementary schools in New York from 2004 to 2006. Ms. Yuan served as an English teacher in Qingdao No. 1 Railway Middle School from 1996 to 1999. Ms. Yuan received a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Hofstra University in 2006 and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Shandong University in 2000.
KAREN QINGLING ZHU
Senior Vice President of Operations
Karen received both her Bachelor of Economics and Master of Management from Wuhan University of Technology. She has worked in a domestic software company in a management capacity of various departments: marketing, sales, project application, and subsidiary branches. In 2008, she joined RISE as the Senior Vice President of Operations. She is responsible for the operations and management of self-owned centers. She has established a data-based scientific system that has led the team to repeated success and consolidated the foundations of rapid business development.
